ID a fish - Is this a Dwarf Cichlid and are they agressive?

I was going to stay away from barbs because the tank is already 100% bottom fish if I remember right, barbs also stay at the bottom right?



I think I'll be going with a few tetras for now and I think they should be fine with the bigger fish. There's a black neon in there now and they don't even give him the time of day lol

Hmm.. the cherry and tiger barbs I've seen have stuck to the middle of the tank but I may be mistaken.

Definitely a male Bolivian Ram. You can tell it's male by the extended rays on the tail and pointed dorsal fin. These are one of my favorite fish.. I've always had a difficult time keeping them alive. But they are interesting to watch. Very shy and picky eaters. Make sure to keep up on your water changes. You gotta have pristine water conditions, they also prefer softer water.
