Bad idea

I'm very interested in how the tank is going in ground and why? Keep us posted. I'm sure a lot of people are going to tell you its a bad idea to pump in ocean water. Welcome to AA!

The tank is an existing in-the-groud septic tank.
Why do you think it is a bad idea to pump ocean water in and out of the tank?

I can't see how this would fly with the authorities... no dumping laws etc. Where I work we have to go through so much red tape to be able to drain water from our cooling systems into a river/lake/ocean. Granted this is nuclear related so there is a lot more things they monitor for but I just don't see it setting well with the DEP and groups like that.

I would contact local authorities to see if it is legal. We here at AA do not endorse ANY type of illegal activity. So I will lock this thread until you find out and provide us proof this is a legal activity.
