Is this acropora coral type?

If yes, what kind pls. A friend of mine is having this one and died after 10 days. He don't know why and I know it could be from any reason. He is running reef only tank with lot of corals.

Tank details:

PH= 8.1
Kh= 8
Temp= 26
Sg= 25
Mag= 1400
Calc= 550
Phos= 0

He is using radeon pro light

Yes it is acropora. No clue on the species. What are his nitrates at? Any swing in alkalinity can also strongly affect acros.

nitrates was 2. He said it was on the bottom and then he took it up and he thinks that is the reason.

Was it a wild colony or some frag from an established tank? Sometimes these wild colonies don't take well to the synthetic environment. Alkalinity is also a concern as Bribo stated.
