I could tell you that its not but it would probably make me a liar :( have no fear though because ich is extremely simple to treat! :)

All you need to do to treat ich is slowly raise the temperature by 1 - 2 degrees every hour until it hits 86 degrees and then leave it there for at least a week or 3 days after you see the last sign of ich.

Also make sure water quality is perfect, do daily water changes at first to remove parasites , and add an airstone as warmer water has less oxygen.
 
Also there is a good treatment by seachem called para-guard I believe. It's totally safe for fish and plants!! You don't have to remove carbon if you use carbon. It works great!!!

New life spectrum also makes a food that has extra garlic in it to help prevent and cure ich!
 
When heat can be used it's the fastest. Paraguard works but very slowly. It's fine in a planted tank or when heat isn't an option.
