Could I koi live in a tank and what about a 5 inch koi

Yes, as a 4-5 inches in a 125 gallon, but as an adult or 6-7 inches an outdoor pond. With good care these things will live longer than you- up to 225 years old!

And is it alone, if it is alone well i would say just be quick about getting at least a 50 or 55g, 125 is for like 5 koi, 2-3 koi is good in a 55g

if you don't have plans on getting a 400 gallon tank or pond don't get it koi are much more active than goldfish

Koi are pond fish and should definitely not be kept in a tank. Koi get HUGE. You will seriously stunt and disform them in a tank. Even the biggest tanks arnt suitable for koi unless 1000gallons + Koi are most beautiful from the top down, just another reason to keep them in a pond.
