I have a 20 gallon freshwater only aquarium with 2 pictus catfish, another catfish that was supposed to be a pictus and clearly isnt and 5 dwarf gouramis as well as a bottom feeding algea eater. I was lookong to add some red cherry shrimp but im uncertain if my tank is large enough to accomodate them. Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, your tank is already overstocked and I think that the shrimp may get eaten by the other fish.

If i was able to reduce my tank stock with a second tank would it be possible without the other fish eating the shrimp?

Baby shrimp are less than 2 mm long. Nearly all fish including my tetras take a fair percentage. The reason my colony is growing is down to a large mass of moss, not just a tennis ball size - think football.

I have a 5 gallon tank i could use. What would you recommend for an invertebrate tank?
