Is this a good maintenance strategy?
Do you have any recommendations?

Aquarium specifications:
104 gallons
Twenty African Cichlids
Four catfish

Equipment:
One Fluval 406
One full length overhead filtration system
Two 300W heaters
One air pump
One circulation pump

Decorations:
Lava Rocks
Plastics plants
Gravel 5mm
One ceramic vase

Maintenance schedule:

Daily:
Feed the fish once a day.
Check to see if all the fish are present and healthy.
Check the temperature (76 - 80).
Check that the filters are working.

Weekly:
Clean the inside wall with a scraper if needed.
Vacuum the substrate.
Add water conditioner.
Make a 25% water change.

Monthly:
Wipe down light bulbs.
Do water qualities tests…
ph (8.0 – 8.5)
Ammonia (0.0ppm)
Nitrite (0.0ppm)
Nitrate (0.0 – 40ppm)
Mechanical media, (sponge) to see if it is dirty.

Yearly:
Replace light tubes.
Check filter impeller.
Check date on test kit.
Inspect integrity of cabinet and hood.
Make a large water change, 50%.
Re-aquascape
Lubricate the filter seals

When deeded:
Mechanical media, (sponge)
When the sponge loses its shape it’s time to replace it.

Biological media, (ceramic rings)
Change only when they fall apart, it will take many years.

Chemical media
Use only when needed.
If the tank smells or after treating with medication.

You're on the right track!
