Aquarium Advice Freak
This is driving me crazy! I have these really small dust looking things in my aquarium all the time and it's really frustrating me. You cant see it no matter how hard you look with the lights off but with the lights on it looks horrible! I don't know if it is oxygen in the water being out there by the filter or if it is algae bloom. I'm stumped. Has anyone else have or had this same issue? It looks like dust in the water when the lights are on. Chemistry is fine according to APC Master Kit.
My light is a t5 HO single 56 watt bulb. I leave the light on approximately 13 hours each day. I have been fighting algae a bit so I'm going to be cutting the lighting back. I think I'm going to cut back to 8 or 9 hours a day and get a 40 watt bulb instead of the 56 watt.
Here is what did yesterday yet the issue still exists. I did about a 70% water change and scrubbed down the glass. I removed everything from the tank and did a good thorough gravel vac while removing the water. I have had the lights off all last night and all day today. I added Fluval water polishing pads in to my 405. Still, the floater persist.
Here is a short. Idea showing the condition. Only visible when the lights are on. I know the larger bubbles in the video are oxygen because it is from the input breaking the water surface.
