Min number of demaosni?

What's the minimum number of demosoni I can put in a 40 gallon tank, I was thinking 1 male and 4 female

I have 9 1.5 inch mbuna in there already.

The min number is 12-13. They will kill each other off. The higher number will keep violence down. But you don't have enough room in your tank for that many IMO.

i would say thats pretty accurate, ive successfully kept demasoni in minimum of 5 and had 2 males and 3 females, i had 12 at the most, but 5 is the least, any less and they will kill eachother off.
