Best advice I can give is to fertilize and Make sure you don't put the rhizomes of the anubias (I think I see some in the background) in the substrate or the rhizome will rot. I could be wrong but I think those are cichlids of some type? They may get a little big for a 10g.
Planted tanks are great fun. I love mine!
 
Thanks brennae. I do have lamp brichardi, and bovilian rams in there. I will be moving soon and plan on getting a 100 gal for my South American cichlids, then that 55 will become a planted tank for these guys. This tank will probably become a shrinp tank. Thanks for your thoughts.
