We'll, I have come to th conclusion that my tribal blenny got stung by a bristle worm. I have seen the worm in there previously, just didn't know he could be an issue. I have since purchased an arrow crab to hunt him down.

Ok, well, I could be wrong about the briste worm theory. Sometime during the night one of my clowns and my royal gramma went missing. My wife moved the rock around the morning and still no sign of them. After a little research, I came across ome people who have experienced their engineer gobies killing their fish and eating them. Anyone else ever heard of this before? My engineers are a good 8-10 inches long. Its the only thing I can think of.

Ok well I basically started over with my 125. Pulled all the rock, removed the fish, seperated the gobies and rearranged the rock. Found the missing clown buried in the back of the tank, pretty chewed up. Royal gramma.....MIA. probably in the gobies belly. Pulled about 15 bristle worms out, I'm sure thre are plenty more. Waiting for the water to clear a bit so I can put the fish back in. Here are the pics I have so far while we were tearing it apart.

I agree that your problem is not the bristle worms, they do not attack live fish, but cleanup dead stuff.Your engineer gobies at that size are probably your problem from what I have read. They might be just killing your fish in defending their territory.IMO

I would agree with that.... royal gramma was never found, so I don't know if they ate him or what. They are gone now. Took them to my lfs and got store credit....
Tank is up and running with the new rockscape. Will take pics soon....

Ok, here are some pics of the new and improved gobieless tank......tell me what yu guys think.

Thanks...I definitely like the new rock setup better...hurry up and get those tangs! You are making me want more tangs now..lol

Finally got a new pump for the skimmer that came with my tank. It had a rio2500 on it, but I chose to go with an octopuss pump instead. Working good so far.

My regal is not doing so hot today. Got home from work and she is laying against the back glass breathing heavy. She didn't come out to eat either. Everyone else seems fine.
Parameters are:
Temp 78.2F
Salinity 1.024
Ph 8.2-8.4
Amm 0
Trites 0
Trates 0
Phos .25
Kh. 9 drops
Any ideas? I also have some algea or somethin growing on my sand. I raked it yesterday, and its back today. I am also geting green algea on the front glass pretty reglarly, is this normal? Here are a couple pics....any help is appreciated.

Ok we'll my regal died....I'm really getting discouraged here. Has anyone else lost as much livestock when they first got started? Or is it something I'm doing?

Fish get stressed for nothing more than a new home, they live in the ocean... its just a bad part of the hobby. Still happens to me once in a while.

Yeah, but you are enduring an abnormal amount of loss. How long ago did your tank finish cycling? What are your current water parameters?
