My Black Convict Cichlid wont eat.

i have had this guy for around 4 months and he hasn't been eating much but just two days ago he totally stopped eating and he will hide if you go near the tank. anyone know why?

Since you have kept him four months he obviously has been eating a little. If you are keeping additional aggressive fish in the tank, especially other convicts, he might be the low fish in the pecking order and too intimidated to eat. If his only symptoms are shyness and lack of appetite, might not feed him for a couple of days. His appetite may improve. Good luck.
