Hey Everyone,

I recently moved into my college dorm and the largest tank we are allowed to have is 10 gallons. So...today I set it up! I placed a seeded sponge filter in the tank to help seed the AC 30 that is HOB right now. 100 watt visitherm stealth heater. Background coming soon. Stock 19w NO lamp over the top. Plastic plants for now. I have a betta in there right now until I get the AC30 all squared away. Once that is set up I'm going to move the betta out and a pair of GBR's in to start spawning!

Cool. I don't even think we were allowed fish tanks in my dorm at UCLA. Of course, we weren't allowed hot plates or halogen lamps, but that didn't stop us. :)

Is that PFS? It looks really fine and really pure. I want some!

Correct. it is PFS. I picked up a 50 lb(smallest i could find, i have tons of exra) bag for 12 bucks at a local pool and spa center.

UPDATE:

Took a couple more pics. The betta was being a camera whore haha.

Pics!

I think I have a rare specimen-the kissing betta:
