Following along...can't wait to see the final product.

Also...how are the angels getting along in the QT. On paper, that sounds like trouble.

Glad you joined in Todd.

There's only one angel in the QT as we speak which is the emperor. Unfortunately all the fish had to be housed in the 180 litre due to this huge set back.

Not sure if I'm right here but I've read it's best to let it sit for a week, especially for that size of a tank.

I've heard a few mixed opinions and one person saying he has built tank before and only given 24 hours. That being sad this is probably a lot more pressure.

The tube says 4 days and you have to factor in things like heat, thickness of glass and how much is applied. I am heating the room specifically to help aid the curing time. The specialist that installed the glass says it should be fine however they are normally left a lot longer when being built.

Another subject I'm having issues with it the sump and refugium size. When I ask for the tank to be made I asked for the middle section to be the largest to accommodate as much macro algae as possible. What I got instead is not quite that. Not sure if you can see from the picture but the first section is the largest which is normally where I would put the skimmer. I'm wondering if I can somehow use the first section for a refugium or will the flow from the overflow be too overkill? Quite happy to use the middle section for the fuge but wanted the most space possible.

If you did that wouldnt alot of your organisms be taken up by the skimmer

I just looked back and saw that it is a Regal Tang, not Regal Angel. :). I was thinking, "wow a Moorish Idol, which are tough to keep and a Regal Angel, that are tough too!"...bummer about the setback, but it will get back on track.

As long as is holds :) 220g all over the floor wouldn't be very fun :p I'm sure it'll be fine though and the specialist said so as well so I think you should be in the clear.

Well regal angel is definitely on the list for new stock at some point.

Had the idol about 3 months now and he's actually FAT! Lol

don't know how handy you are but its not too difficult to cut those baffles out and move them. wouldn't take anymore than a tube of silicone and a razor.

I could do this myself and would have the confidence however I do not have the time today or tomorrow and want to fill the tank on Sunday. I'm thinking it might be an option for the future perhaps.

Skimmer should go first, you dont want those pods and other critters to be sucked up by the skimmer. :) Thats how I have all my tanks set up, skimmer first for sure.
