I got a nice red doubletail betta from petsmart today, he was active for the first hour till he went under a rock, he shares his home with neon tetras and a ram, I saw no aggression, I checked on him by lifting the rock up and he swam to another rock to hide under, is this normal new fish stress that I shouldn't worry about or a problem that I should worry about? :thanks:

Just give him time to get used to his new home and watch for any aggression from him or his tankmates.

Each fish is different and it would also depend on your tank (size, decor, amount of tankmates, etc). I'd give it a week or two.
