It is a type of macro algae, if I'm seeing the pic clear enough. I can't remember the name, but I had the same thing awhile back which somebody identified. They aren't anything to worry about.
 
You can just pluck them off, or get a few snails. We had some when we set up our first saltwater tank and they didn't last long, something ate them haha.
 
The only thing bad ive only had the tank set up for about 3 weeks so there really is no algae yet. I dont think it's safe enough to get snails yet...but I do have some hermit crabs.
 
i haven't seen too many tanks taken over by these. i wouldn't worry too much about them. they seem to grow for a while then crash and disappear for unknown reasons.
