New user can't register

A colleage at work is trying to register and is getting a 500 error (HTTP).
I tried to register him and got the same error.

He's using IE8 and I'm using IE7.

Our networking group swears they're not blocking it (though we do have WebSense to tend with).

We're both in IT I asked him to download FireFox and try that, and then try from later tonight.

Anyone know of something going on with the site that would cause this?

We had a glitch yesterday that prevented anyone from registering - this should be fixed now. Can you ask him to try again?

IE7 and IE8? Shame on you! Use a 'better' browser, such as chrome or even firefox. However, I prefer chrome.
