My bf and are two little girls got me addicted we got Harper a 3 gal half moon for her fighting fish. Then I found a steal of a deal on a 10 gal tank with sponge bob theme (Harpers favourite show right now)
Then for my 30th birthday they got me a new to me 90 gal tank. After some troubles with the filter that come with it I went out and got two new ones and a new air pump because the one we got just will not do for the size of the tank.

Welcome to the community. Do you know what the name of your filter is? The biggest mistake people often make is staying with an internal filter because they don't know about the external ones. (canister filters). When i got my 120 litre awuarium it came with a fluval 305 filter, And it's fantastic. I thought my previous internal filter could also do the job too so i gave that a go. It went terribley.

Canister filters are always the way to go for aquariums that are bigger than around 100 litres. This isn't always true though, it doesn't look like you have any fish in there right now, when you get to that point and/or if you get live plants i recommend that you look into canister filters. Preferably Fluval ones.
