no algae

I've had my 29 gallon tank setup for over a year and I've never had algae...is that bad?

No this isn't a bad thing. I don't have any algae on any 4 of my tanks and my brothers it took lil more than a year. I want algae for my plecos though. To make some put some rock in bucket filled with water in sun then they will go algae. If my window will grow algae faster cuz of sunlight.

thanks a lot for that info...its not that I want algae lol but I thought it was a problem because I see everybody elses tank and they have it...I do have four filters on my tank because I do like to have extra filtration...I also have a pleco and it would be nice to have some growing because I know plecos enjoy eating algae
