My African cichlids are not eating these Hikari pellets that I bought for them. They attack them but then they spit them out. They are mine-size floaters. Any reasons why?

No. They are they smallest they can get and I can put 5 of them in the size of a dine

Which hikari pellets are they? I know some of them are designed for large meat eating SA cichlids while some of the others are made for herbivorous African mbuna. They may just not like the variety. I'd give them some time though, it could be that they just aren't hungry enough to try the new food. Give them a couple days to get used to It.

I have spread the trials out over a few weeks and they still haven't touched them

i have a female jack that wont eat pellets at all, she will only take flake. some fish are weird i guess.
