IIRC it's 10g (that's US gallons) and six fish, in a well established moderately to heavily planted tank. If you wait until you have a pretty heavy coating of diatoms, the otos will be fat and happy for several days.

I read 3 is the min. and as small as a 10 gallon tank though they would appreciate larger as they do like to swim and "school". They will even school with other schooling fish sometimes. Very cool fish.

they are a sensitive fish so expect some losses. they do much better with a mature tank.
