Is it possible to overdose Microbe-Lift Special Blend? I added double the dose I was supposed to by mistake (should read a little better...).

I assume there will be no negative effects?

You might be seeing a little more algae than normal, I assume it is a fert? I would either do a large water change, or cut your light so you won't get algae.

Assuming that any of the bacteria that is supposed to be in the bottle is actually alive... It might have an adverse effect on your bio filter by taking away the nutrients it needs to survive. Your bio filter may see the reduction in available nutrients as a sign the load has lightened and it would downsize (die off) accordingly.

Since this product is being used I am under the assumption that the biofilter isn't established yet. It shouldn't hurt anything, if it did have live nitrifiers in it the colony size will adjust to conditions.
