Hi everyone,
I’m just looking for a second opinion on my Peppermint BN.

He appears to have two white patches on next to each gill.
He also has a bit of white discolouration on his lip and a little redness and discolouration on his back and body.
These patches do not appear to be that of Columnaris on closer inspection, but rather white discolouration.

Do you think he could have gotten into a tussle with the other male he is housed in? I did catch them having a fight for a tunnel.

Any opinions are gladly welcome.

Ammonia and Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- under 20.
Ph 7.5
KH- 3
Gh- 1dGh (for breeding)

IMO, if you can see that the discoloration is IN the skin and not ON the skin, I wouldn't worry about it but you may want to address the 2 males in the same tank issue. (Unless you are trying to find the better male for a female to breed with.) (y)

Looks to me like he scraped himself and it is a small touch of fungus. It does not require treatment; as the wound heals the fungus will go away; but i'd keep an eye on it. It can take 4 to 6 weeks to fully heal but it shouldn't spread.
