I have the ifranveiw program now and have looked through everything and cant figure out where to downsize the picture file. can someone hold my hand?

With the picture displayed in window, the option is the third button from the left (I don't have the program available to me at work so this is from memory). When you click the right button, halfway down you'll see re-size. Click there and a window comes up which displays the photos current values and some editing values on the right.

That will physically size the image down. If you save the image in jpeg format you can go further by increasing the compression level of the image. This can keep the image size the same but reduce the file size.

Yes, but you have to use the reply button in a post, and not the Quick Reply at the bottom of the page.
