So far I am going with the method of feeding my sps, overskimming and using GFO/GAC only. Also weekly PWC....high import high export. I mean do we count GFO/GAC as the same as carbon dosing though? Its all ends to the same mean.

I don't think so, when I think carbon dosing, I think bacterial driven.

GAC/GFO is not carbon dosing. I use all three to maitain NO3 @ ~ 3 and PO4 @ 0.08.

Ok thats what I thought. You need the sugar and other components to feed and host the bacteria. There is a really interesting thread on RC about people using rice in a reactor with the same results as NP Biopellets.

For those of you using the pellets, did you see an initial bacteria or cyano bloom?
