Hi Everyone,

What's the best way to prune this plant? The top growth looks great, but the stems are getting long; they're almost to the top of the tank, and the growth below is scraggly. If I lop off the newer growth, will it branch off below ? How low should I cut it and will the cut off pieces root if left in the water? I thought I could bunch them together and let them float.

Thanks for your help,
D

Sometimes it's just better to trim off the good growth, pull out the ratty bottoms, and replant the good tops. There are certain types of plants I like to do that with.

Thanks.
Do I need to let the trimmings float around for awhile to establish roots?

Great, thanks. The new growth looks way, way better than the scraggly stemmy older part of the plant.
