whats the best method to use to acclimate freshwater puffers?

Drip acclimation 1-3 hours

That seems quite excessive unless you're acclimating from brackish to fresh. I don't even drip my sw stuff that long. I'd say float for 20 an then add water for 20.

Puffers tend to be more sensitive to water chemistry, and drip acclimation for an hour or more may seem excessive, but it's also a very safe estimate and it's so easy to drip acclimate... You're right, it could be done in less, but I tend to lean to the side of caution.
