i still use 5 gal buckets. i siphon and gravel vac the water which i discard on my lawn. i then fill the buckets and treat with prime. i line up the buckets and use an old powerhead hooked up to the vac hose to pump the new water into tank. when the first bucket of water gets low, i pour in the next bucket, and so on. no mess at all.

That is great fertilizer. Since I started an outdoor barrel for goldfish, the lawn has been looking great.

I use a python to fill but I gravel vac the old way. I use the water on my plants in the house :)

Yeah, I normally gravel vac about 10 gallons to get most of the junk out. Then I take the rest of the water down the drain so I'm not filling it with sludge. The flowers in the garden love me for it.
