Rainbow Fish?

What tank size do you guys recommend keeping Dwarf neon rainbow fish in? I have a 20 gallon if it's too small, can any other rainbow fish go in a 20 gallon?

How long is the tank? They need a good length to swim, height isn’t really an issue from what I’ve found. 20 gal is probably on the small side. Could look at Threadfin and Forktail Blue Eye Rainbows.

Yeah, they just swim back and forth all day. They’d probably be okay for a while if you were looking at upgrading to a larger tank in the future?

Forktails look cool, never had a chance to keep them.

i agree with myo. even though the dwarf rainbowfish are smaller than other rainbowfish species they still need alot of swimming room. a 3 foot long aquarium or longer is best. a 20g long would be good. another thing to know before you buy rainbowfish is they need to be in groups of at least 6 and preferably larger groups of say 8-10. they also do best having 2 females to every male.
