Rescued Blood Parrot

My rescued blood parrot will soon have a new home!
I took my time buying the tank, cabinet, etc to save money. I was able to get just about everything on sale. I finally got the tank set up today. I hope the cycling goes okay. The fish was a baby when I rescued him and I'm glad he has been growing slow because he is still in a smaller tank. But he is doing great!

Have you seeded the tank with the media from his existing tank? You could probably just put both filters on the new tank and your parrot should be fine.

I am glad you rescued your fish, if more people treated fish like they do dogs and cats, the fish sections in Petco, Petsmart, and Walmart would be less depressing.

Yes, I seeded the new filter from my existing tank. I can't believe how quiet my new Fluval 406 is. I have to check to be certain it is working...and it is!

Looks like the next time I need a filter I know which one I am getting! haha glad your parrot is getting an upgrade.
