IMO, I hate corner tanks due to them not being able to fit perfectly into the corner. If it's not RR, then you need the extra space to fit either a overflow box or a HOB filter which then leaves a gap between the tank and the way and it bugs me haha

I hate to be the douche bag newbie but do I need a skimmer???

well you dont NEED one but it does remove alot of dissolved waste and it helps keep your water crystal clear but if you do your regular water changes and proper husbandry you can get away with not having one but my personal opinion is i would get one but thats just me lol
