Sure you can, it will help buffer or slightly raise your PH. There really are not any rocks that can't be used in aquaria, as long as they're cleaned properly.
Drop a could of drops of vinegar on the rock if it fizzles then it will buffer/raise the PH, if it doesn't fizzle it will have zero impact on water conditions.
