Xenia are very easy, but spread like nettles. Zoo's are easy but don't really do anything. Again star polyps are easy and grow fast, daisy polyps etc, depends what you are after and into really, I'm mainly into lps and am yet to find one that's what I'd call super difficult to look after.

+1 i have more trouble with soft corals than with LPS and acros ... go figure haha

Mega happy got in from work and more firefish has come out of hiding gave him a small flake just to see if he accepted it turns out he's eating like a champ!
Tried to take some photos wow these guys are hard to picture! But here's what I got!
You like?!

Lol he does doesn't he! Little drag queen!

I couldn't be happier. Well, OK, I could be happier if it were a 300 gallon instead of 45 gallon but..... LOL

All my fish are doing great and I love the way my corals are doing. Once I bought a magnisium test and found that my mag levels were marginal I dosed 2 times using the Epson Salt method. Since that time, all of my corals have gone crazy. I have a hammer and a candy cane that looked pretty sad and both are now progressing very nicely. On the other hand, my Monti is growing like a weed. LOL

That's great news id really like a candycane too. AND a 100gal too lol!
After hearing careys advice on the xenia spreading so quick I bailed out of letting it grow up my rockwork! So last bit I fragged it onto its own rock and will let the zoas proceed up the rockwork.
Looking at the Xenia this morning the polyps have protruded through the mesh to grab some light i assume. Is this correct forum them to do this??

Took a few photos today and am really glad at how it's coming along and starting to look. Just thought I'd share!
Also a couple of pics of my first frag attempt xenia looks like it's doing really well.

Carey thanks a lot i couldnt if git this far without the help if people in here like yourself its been a big learning curve so far abd sure it still will be but i'm very happy with the way everything is going so far.
My only concern is my yasha goby who u havent seen for a week since I put him in getting concerned he might go hungry what do you think?!

Any way to find him to make sure he is ok? Usually fish get food even if we don't see them eat. My pink spotted goby is famous for that...I rarely see him and hardly ever see him eat.

I have looked ib all the cracks in the rockwork I just can't find him now i have corals in there that are starting to settle id rather not move any of the rockwork about if i can help it.
Im gettjng a randalls pistol shrimp next week hopefully he will pair up with that and maybe show himself a bit.
Id really like to see him a bit he looks so cool! :-(

Eureka found my little goby he's paired up with the the pistol shrimp and they are sharing a cave, he is looking alive and well!

Ahhh honestly carey im soooo happy right now too see him and looking healthy too! He's definitely becoming more confident now he's got the shrimp in there.
