That was the main reason I got rid of mine. People see them in store as juveniles and they just walk right past them.


They are amazing breeders and some of the best parents I had ever seen. As soon as the fry would be scooped out, next day you have 500 eggs laid out.
 
Lucky. The local pike market around here is weak! LFS also seem to do a bad job differentiating species and don't have much interest in ordering them from suppliers.
 
Here is a very rare peacock. WC chitande type masinje. Notice the beautiful GOLD egg spots

Thanks, going to be moving them to there own small tank for breeding in a week, perfect apisto set up as the eggs keep getting eaten in there current tank.

My dad has them just by themselves, he used to have a pretty big pleco with them but sadly it died.. (hence the dirty tank :D)
