Currently have a 55 gal with a aquaon 55/75 filter and a fluval c4 for filtration. Current stock is just 10 tiger barbs what else should I get that is either really beautiful or just down right rad

Would could go a million directions with what you have. Are you looking for a larger centerpiece fish, more schooling fish, some oddball fish.

Off the top of my head I would add a Green Terror as your centerpiece and be done with it. Or a group of Firemouths.

You could also go more community get the group of corries and some cherry barbs and a gouramie.

African butterfly fish are cool but may try to eat your barbs.

I would say rummy nose tetras, cardinal tetras, or scissor tail rasboras

Bloodfin are pretty tight schoolers also. Schooling fish usually stay in tighter schools if there is predator around.
