I have bought a 125l tank and will be setting it up for Xmas. I am just looking for some ideas for friendly tank mates for my guppies.

I currently have a 48l tank and will upgrade wen we move home. I know it's a long way off until the tank is established and ready for new fish but I would like to get a few ideas. Thanks

why no females

Well I only have a 48l at the mo until I set it up and I didn't want it overcrowding. I may get sim females but I've read a lot about the frys getting eaten and that they breed quick. Doesnt that cause probs?

It causes enough problems. I'd stay with all males:). Plus they look better IMO. I like cories, I've found that they get along with most all fish. How many guppies do you have/are getting still? I would get a nice bigger fish and a few bottom dwellers.

I have 4 guppies at the mo. I would like some more and some of those corys.I like the look of those cardinal tetra and colourful loaches, but I don't no anything about mixing fish species. I see that there are dwarf loaches but are the colourful? Here is the link I looked up to see what goes with guppies. Do you agree with it?

And what would be a good number for my size tank. 125l

Yes I agree with the website with the combinations. For the loach, you were looking at the clown loach, those need double the size tank than what you have. I would suggest the Kuhli Loach or the Dwarf loach. I think you'd like the Khuli Loach here's a link: Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) — Loaches Online
It depends on how many other fish you get with the guppy amount. If you want the khulis, carnidal, and the guppies I'd go with 15 cardinals, 10 or so guppies (you could switch those numbers) and 5ish khuli loaches. You could also do a "showcase" fish like a gourami or a dwarf cichlid. That's be pretty good. But it's all up to you!

Really, how often do you see them? Post a pic if you can

the clown loach can be a bit aggresive and the kuhli loach you will never see unless you stay up all night the horse faced loach is cool but you need a sandy substrate
