Been a lurker too long, just starting up again after too many years fishless, lots of new technology and fishes and plants to catch up on. Most of my questions have been answered by your experts!! Worried about my Ph 7.5 or 7.6 API test kit-other readings are NH3=0, NO3= 0 NO2=0. I like neons, not mollies or sword tails, may have to adjust my thinking. Got a 10 gallon cycled for 6 months. Don't want to start fussing with chemicals, Got it heavily planted and put in a piece of driftwood, not sure what type but boiled it for 6 hours and it was in a bucket of old aquarium water for one week and just put the Ph to 7.1 in the bucket. no change in the tank Ph, yet in one week but with 50% WC weekly may not. the tap water treated with Prime and set 24 hours is 7.5 or 7.6. The plants are doing well, my 5 neons seem to be happy no problems yet. Are they really happy what are they not telling me??
