In my community tank I have a pretty active cherry shrimp colony and I'm thinking I'd like to get rid of some and trade them in at the LFS. The problem is they're fast, and I've given them too many places to hide. Anyone have any ideas on a good way to trap/catch the little buggers?

Yeah my cherries tend to be more timid than my ghost shrimp. The ghosts would run up and snag a pellet and try to run off. The cherries are content to sit on their moss piles and chew what comes by.

you could try making something out of a glass with a funnel on it... kind of like a minnow trap. they crawl in, but cant get back up to get out, at least not easily

Large net. You may need to rearrange your decorations in the tank to catch some shrimp.
