Vacuuming with RCS?

This might be a stupid question, but I'm new to all of this... How do you vacuum your gravel when you have small shrimp like RCS? I'm afraid they would all be sucked up.

Carefully.. Haha

Try and 'usher' them away from the spot if you can.

Keep the vacuum down in the gravel, try not to pick it up so it sucks from the open water. When the shrimp feel the gravel moving close by them they will swim away usually.

I also keep a fine mesh net at the other end of the hose just in case.
