Venting my EBJD's help

hey everyone,

I wanted to know what sex my EBJD's were, (they are suposed to be male and a female, a couple, but since the larger on was chasing the smaller one I am not sure anymore)
so I decided to vent, since this is the only reliable way of telling with EBJD, but I have never done this before so I am seeking help from people with more experience
I took pictures (don't worry, the fish were not longer then 15s out of the water)
The larger EBJD 11.5cm (this one is supposed to be the female, and she is the one chasing the other)

is he/she actually a male?
The Smaller EBJD 9.5cm (supposed to be the male, he is the one getting chased of)

is he/she actually a female?

Regardless of sex I've heard of males(normal not EB) killing their partner. I'd expect to see some chasing anyway.
