When doing a water test what treatments do you add to the water? Is adding API stress coat and API stress zyme enough?

All I've added to my tap water during water changes is prime during the last 9 months since re-entering the hobby. No water quality issues at all. Only deaths were from a feisty firemouth and bad stock from LFS.

You only need to add Tap water conditioner (de-chlorinator) if your water parameters are good and it's just a regular weekly change. Less solutions the better unless absolutely necessary.

I agree with the above. Stress coat is a good dechlorinator but stress Zyme is definitely not needed. Personally, add as few chemicals to the tank as possible.

Hello dean...

Just add the treatment that removes chlorine and chloramine. Nothing else is needed. Seachem's "Safe" is about the best water treatment on the market.
