Water Changes

I'm in the process of changing 30 gallons of my 110 gallon with new salt water (RO/DI). How long do I have to mix the salt into the new water? How long should I wait before changing the water?

People have told me you are supposed to age the salt a day.

I typically let the water mix with a powerhead and heater for 24-48 hours before doing my water change. That allows plenty of time for all the salt to dissolve and get up to the same temperature as the main tank.

Correct. 24-48hrs will be fine. Throw it in a rubbermaid tub with a powerhead, heater and air stone for a day or two. Just make sure temp, SG and Ph match that of your tank water.
