What are these things?

Can anyone tell me what these little pods are stuck to my driftwood? They have appeared over the last day. I recently added some Neocaradina shrimp and two male dwarf Gouramis. The only other inhabitants are harlequin rasboras, cherry barbs, and a spike snail.

Are they moving or do they stay in one space and have they changed in size?

I don't believe they can move. It took a good dig with my fingernail to get one off. It feels like plastic almost with some black squishy stuff inside. I haven't noticed growth yet. But haven't been able to look since last night.

I would just keep an eye on it for now maybe scrape all of them off if you feel
