Ok so I decided to redo my tank and go into cichlids.

The tank is just over 400 liters.

I have 18 cichlids, a silver shark, 2 clown loaches, 5 bristle noses, a common Pleco and a feather fin.

In the last month I have spent about $600 on fish and yesterday I noticed white spot :(.

What should I do now. I know I have to wait until Sunday to re medicate but is there anything else I can do. I don't wanna lose these fish.

I done a 50% water change, cleaned the filter and medicated the tank. I also bumped the temp up to 29 degrees

You might want to increase the aeration with the increased temp. Other than that, its patience, medicating per instructions, and keeping up with the water changes while being very careful to match the temperature so as to minimize any stress.

Here is an article that I've found helpful in understanding ich:

I dont use any meds for ich. I raise the temp to 86 F and it always goes away. Good luck with it!
