Just got it for 50 dollars on cregslist and was wondering if Africans would work

Dare i say its doable, if its a long tank maybe but if its tall then no. If its long you would be limited to smaller species. Most including myself would say a 55 is a much better size for them.

Ok thanks I guess I will just do a community tank with some rams

55 gal is the minimum for mbuna but you could certainly keep some julidochromis sp or some tanganyikan shell dwellers

Ya I think a pair of rams and some community fish will look nice I don't have acess to shell dwellers and others

Yeah I just recently got rid of two female blue rams (bought them as a pair obv didt work out) cool little fish had them in with some gold neons and harlequin rasboras.
