American Cichlids Stocking Question

I have a 55 gallon tank and have a young firemouth cichlid, a nicaraguan cichlid and a gold saum. I was wondering if im full up on stocking or if I can get mabey one or two more. I know for africans stocking heavily spreads out aggression (not that im having those problems) and I was wondering if the same applies for americans. (I also have 4 cory cats)

It's the exact opposite for Central and South American cichlids. You are already overstocked and will start to have aggression problems before long. Mainly from the green terror.

Personally I would choose either the Fire mouth or the Nic and plan a tank around 1-2 pairs.
