Ammonia??

I have had my 125g tank with a 30g sump set up since the first week in December. Tank cycled and was ready to go last week of December. Ammonia was zero and nitrates around 20. I have had 1 green severum, 1 black convict, 1 bolivan ram, and 2 tetra since January 6th. Since around jan 15 I have had ammonia around 0.75 no nitrites and 20-30 nitrate. I have done weekly water changes of about 30%. I also did a water change about 50-60% yesterday. Numbers have not changed! I am only using prime. I started adding stability about 10 days ago and that didn't help.

I'm afraid to put in ammonia remover but might have to. Any advise?

Please don't criticize the stock of fish. I am trying to fix water parameters before fixing stock at this point.

Have you rinsed out your filter media? Just simply changing water won't do anything if you still have all the solid waste in the system breaking down.
