besides angels & discus...what other fish like TALL tank

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!

I don't think any fish would not like a tall tank. They'll all be just fine with it. It's just that discus and angels will have more space to swim in a tall tank due to their height. That's why they "like" a tall tank.
 
the only type of fish that MAY benifit less from a tall tank are bottom dwellers who occupy the substrate space, eg. loachs (but only if you have alot of these), such fish as the african butterfly fish who enjoy wide areas or surface space,
and potentially (and i'm being assumptuous) even very territorial fish who define territory through the decor of your tank (although if your able to build a high-reaching decor, good on you :-D)
 
what about balloon mollies???

their body shape looks perfect for a tall tank.
 
I think balloon mollies would do fine in a tall tank, but you do need to be aware that a tall tank provides less surface area for gas exchange, so you should probably stock more lightly than in a normal tank.
