Bp dying?!

Hey Everyone, I got a BP a few days ago and I noticed on the second day I had him that he was playing with the rocks (eating off them?) anyways, today I came and looked in my tank and saw that he was stuck under the filter (just sitting there, he was attached to it or anything) But I turned off the filter immediately and put in another bubbler thinking there wasn't enough oxygen, and I checked my heat and my nitrates and PH and hardness and everything seems normal, but currently its like he can't even swim he's on one side panting really hard with this gills all puffed out and I don't know what to do. HELP!

If he was playing with rocks he might have one stuck in his throat

What are readings for ammonia and nitrite? What other fish are in the tank?

Yeah it sounds like he was gasping for air so yeah i would check for ammonia and nitrites first
