So I set up my tank a couple months ago before joining this forum. Now I have an established tank but am stressed about the weight of rocks and potentially cracking the glass. I know allot of people put egg crate (from fluorescent lights?) under their substrate then add the substrate and rocks.

My question, is it too late for me to add egg crate since I have sand and an established tank? Or, can I add during a PWC and just push the sand to one side ands egg crate and then do the other side? Or am I just stressing for no need???

You can add it at anytime, it won't cause any problems with the tank being established.

You can take everything out and place it, move everything side to side and place it. Whatever works for you.
